When I decide to "license in" technology, how do I prepare for the licensing negotiation?
While preparing to "license in" technology, analyzing patent information will be useful in answering the following questions: Is the technology in question in the public domain in the target market due to its non-protection, expiration, non-payment of maintenance fees or invalidation of the patent in a court proceeding?
Is there a possibility of being sued for infringement? Is the technology overvalued or undervalued when compared with other related or alternate technologies?
